Apple Store Visit
The Digital Leaders of St Oliver Plunkett PS, along with the children of the P6/7 class, had a brilliant day at the Apple Store in Belfast.
Apple Creative Leader Donna and her team showed the children how to use the Clips app, and they were then able to have a go at using it themselves out and around the impressive Victoria Square. From the lovely attached Clips video, we can see that the travelling staff also had the chance to brush up on their skills too 😉.
With the school’s ICT focus this year firmly on Computational Thinking and Coding, the children also had the opportunity for engage in this area through the use of Sphero robots and the Swift Playgrounds app.
After all this hard work, the group headed to Pizza Hut for a well deserved treat. The staff there also commented on how well behaved all the children were.
Well done to all the children who travelled and took part in the thoroughly enjoyable day.
