Coronavirus - Update

12th Mar 2020

Dear parent/carer, following a high level emergency summit today in Stormont, the First Minister and Deputy First Minister have decided that schools in the North should remain open at this time. As such the school will remain open and we will continue with our planned St. Patrick’s Day concert and assembly. Having sought guidance on the issue in order to limit exposure to the children, we are requesting that this will be a celebration for only the children. I would request that should your child feel unwell that it would be prudent not to send them to school but instead to contact your GP for advice on how to care for them at home. We have taken the decision to postpone all outside visitors to the school until further notice. Please ensure we have all your current contact details on our system and you are receiving notifications via the School App. We are finalising contingency plans should they be needed but in the meantime we will continue with normal teaching and learning unless otherwise instructed by the EA and PHA. As a Catholic school, we offer prayers of support for frontline health staff and those decision makers charged with protecting our community. Thank you for your ongoing support.
